Activating the Gaps.

In this project, housing is mixed with public uses that are suggested but not defined with a clear intention of creating versatile spaces that can be adapted to the needs of the inhabitants and the possible workers. Under the lemma of ‘The Collective City’, this project was planned not only with a high variety and flexibility of use - inspired by the traditional Korean courtyards and the old cities with many narrow streets that offer many different perspectives and interpretations of space - with the main focus of boosting social interaction and creative opportunities within an existing social housing complex in the South Korean capital.
