JUNTAS por el derecho a la ciudad
Linked to the development of the proposal ‘Córdoba Centro: A Neighbourhood for Life’, a collaborative design process was implemented in downtown Córdoba (Argentina) in collaboration with the local association JUNTAS por el derecho a la ciudad. This process took place in over four months and contained diverse activities such as questionnaires, interviews and feedback meetings with local residents, experts and authorities, as well as a collaborative design workshop, all of which served to develop the logical framework, define the urban revitalisation proposal and the concrete design project.
The resulting proposal intends to be a practical application of the Caring City urban paradigm, responding to the existing concrete reality and needs of the intervention area with the ultimate objective of serving as a reflection on how the field of architecture and urbanism can involve and promote change towards socially and environmentally just cities, placing the daily lives of residents and environmental sustainability at the center of urban planning decisions.
